Description

The Surya World Institutions of Academic Excellence are being established under the aegis of Surya Educational & Charitable Trust (SECT) – an initiative by Surya Pharmaceutical Limited. These institutes of higher education are set up in accordance with AICTE norms and would be affiliated with Punjab Technical University (PTU).

Surya World offers an integrated curriculum that is designed towards delivering quality tertiary education in Engineering & Technology, Management & Business Studies, Computer Sciences, Nursing & Pharmacy, Architecture, and Hotel & Hospitality Management. This, coupled with the highest standards of instruction would equip students with the requisite knowledge and skills to perform effectively in a dynamic industry environment.

Ideally located on the National Highway (NH1), the campus offers easy connectivity and access to the state of the art, hi–tech facilities to students.

Surya World Institutions of Academic Excellence Courses offered

  • B.Arch

    Duration:- 5 years  

    Seats:- 40
             
    Admission Procedure:-

    Eligibility criteria:- He / she has passed the 10+2 /Diploma or its equivalent examination conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council.

    Candidates seeking admission to B. Arch. are not required to take CET

    Admission to B. Architecture course shall be based on the valid NATA Scores and marks secured in the qualifying examination in the ratio of 50:50.

    Candidate should have any one of the following qualifications:

        * 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board with Mathematics as a subject of study by securing 50% marks in aggregate and and should have obtained 80 marks in NATA test.

    OR

        * 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central / State Governments with 50% aggregate marks.

    OR

        * International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Matehmatics as compulsory subject of examination.


    For SC, ST and OBC candidates the aggreage is 45% marks in the above said examinations.

     

  • B.Pharm

    Duration:- 4 years

    Seats:- 60
             
    Admission Procedure:-

    Eligibility criteria:-

    For admission to B. Pharmacy course, the candidate must have appeared in CET and also fulfill the following conditions:

    He / she has passed the 10+2 /Diploma or its equivalent examination conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council.

    Passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination conducted by recognized Board / University / Council.

    Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects,along with any one of the following optional subjects:-

        * Mathematics
        * Bio-Technology
        * Computer Science and
        * Biology


    OR

    Passed Diploma in Pharmacy from an institution affiliated to Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial training / Punjabi University, Patiala.

    OR

    Any other University or any State Board of Technical Education provided that the diploma or the institute is duly approved by the PCI / AICTE (LOI received)

  • B.Tech (Civil Engineering)

    Duration:- 4 Years

    Eligibility:-
    Eligibility criteria for all courses is according to PTU rules.

    For admission to B. Tech course, the candidate must have appeared in CET and also fulfill the following conditions:
    He / she has passed the 10+2 /Diploma or its equivalent examination conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council.

    Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with the one of the following subjects;

        * Chemistry
        * Biology
        * Biotechnology
        * Computer Science

    OR

    Passed 10th or 10+2 examination with science stream and Passed diploma in any Engineering Trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh or Sant Longowal School of Engineering and Technology, Longowal (SLIET),

    OR

    Any such examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education.

    OR

    Have passed two years certificate course from Sant Longowal School of Engineering and Technology,Longowal (SLIET) shall be eligible.

  • B.Tech (Computer Science & Engineering)

    Duration:- 4 Years

    Eligibility:-
    Eligibility criteria for all courses is according to PTU rules.

    For admission to B. Tech course, the candidate must have appeared in CET-2009 and also fulfill the following conditions:
    He / she has passed the 10+2 /Diploma or its equivalent examination conducted by a recognized Board / University / Council.

    Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with the one of the following subjects;

        * Chemistry
        * Biology
        * Biotechnology
        * Computer Science

    OR

    Admission Procedure:-

    Eligibility criteria for all courses is according to PTU rules

    The admission to this course will be based on merit in the state level entrance test to be conducted by University, provided the candidate is otherwise eligible for admission. The candidate seeking admission to MBA should meet the following eligibility criteria:

        * A candidate who has the minimum qualification of Bachelor's Degree recognized by association of Indian Universities with 70% marks.
        * The eligibility for admission shall be as per the notification of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) (LOI received) from time to time.
        * A student admitted to MBA programme must be on the rolls of an affiliated College/ Institute to attend the classes regularly as per rules and shall pay such fees to the College/ Institute as decided by the University / College / Institute from time to time.


     

  • MCA

    Duration:- 3 years 

    Seats:- 60
            
    Admission Procedure:-

    Eligibility criteria for all courses is according to PTU rules

    A recognized Bachelor's Degree in any discipline of minimum 3 years duration with Mathematics at 10 + 2 level.

    OR

    A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Applications of minimum 3 years duration from any recognized university.

    OR

    A Bachelor's Degree in Commerce with statistics as one of the subjects


    OR

    Any Other Bachelor's Degree with Mathematics / Quantitative Techniques as a subject at Degree-Level (Acceptable to the University)
