Description

In 1971, Dr. S.B. Mujumdar established the Symbiosis International Cultural & Educational Center in Pune primarily to promote friendship, co-operation and understanding between foreign and Indian students and to cater to the needs and difficulties of foreign students studying in Pune, mostly Afro-Asian students. Since then, he has established 32 institutions under the aegis of 'Symbiosis' that impart training in 100 different courses ranging from KG, Primary, Secondary Education to Law, Human Resource Development, Foreign Trade, Management, Computer, Arts & Commerce, Mass Communication, Telecommunication, Information Technology etc. Symbiosis today is a premier educational group in Pune and possesses exceptional brand equity in the sphere of management education
    

Symbiosis Center for Information Technology (SCIT) Courses offered

  • MBA(Information Systems & Security)

    This programme provides in-depth inputs on business processes & information flow, information risk, security architecture & standards, and information technology. In addition, knowledge of some major domains is a part of this programme. The delivery modes may differ and some courses will be in workshop format.

    Duration:- 2 years

    Eligibility:- Graduate of any faculty of any Statutory University with 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST) at graduation level.

    Admission Criteria:    - Admission through SNAP Score Merit List followed by Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI)

    Fees:- Rs. 2,40,000/- per year

  • MBA(IT Business Management)

    This program provides in-depth inputs on a range of management subjects such as Business Strategy, Business Models, Market Research and Development and on the other hand technology inputs such as Software Engineering, Software Development, Solution Design, IT Infrastructure Planning, Networking Technology etc. Case studies, projects, papers are largely used to analyze the IT Industry, IT companies and IT application

    Duration:-     2 years

    Eligibility:- Graduate of any faculty of any Statutory University with 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST) at graduation level.

    Admission Criteria:- Admission through SNAP Score Merit List followed by Group Discussion (GD) & Personal Interview (PI)

  • MBA(Networks & IT Infrastructure)

    This 2-year in-depth programme provides inputs from the fundamentals of network technology to the current practices of the IT Infrastructure and Managed Services domain. It uses the "Proof of Concept" lab extensively to enhance learning of concepts and building ideas into projects.

    Duration:- 2 years

    Eligibility:- Graduate of any faculty of any Statutory University with 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST) at graduation level.

  • MBA(Software Solutions & Management)

    The program provides an insight into a variety of platforms, methodologies and software management with a strong accent on industry practices. It prepares students for technical leadership.

    Duration:-     2 years

    Eligibility:- Graduate of any faculty of any Statutory University with 50% marks (45% for SC/ ST) at graduation level.

  • MBA(Systems)

    This programme provides in-depth inputs on business processes & information flow, software development processes, quality, project management aligned to PMI standards, domain knowledge, software development and appropriate soft skills. The delivery modes may differ and some courses will be in workshop format.

Eligibility:- Graduation in IT/ Computer Science/ Computer Application or in engineering or with IT related experience is required with more than 50% marks.

Exams:- Appearing for SNAP test is compulsory for all the students looking for admission in SCIT. Based on the SNAP scores students will be called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI).

Fees:- Annual fees for MBA programme is 3, 30, 000 and if the student requires HOSTEL ( Rs. 38, 500) and MESS (Rs. 40, 300) facilities then the total fees would be 4, 08, 000.
