Teerthanker Mahaveer Dental College and Research Centre in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh (India) is a jewel in the crown of Teerthanker Mahaveer University and has been established in 2005 with the aim to bridge the ever widening gap between the demand for oral health care and the spread of oral and dental problems in the country. With 100 students being enrolled every year, the College has earned a reputation in quality teaching, research and extension services.
Also, it has developed the state-of-the-art facilities in terms of physical infrastructure, dental clinics, pre-clinical research labs to create a congenial environment for teaching, learning and patient care. The curriculum followed in the 5-year course is comprehensive and duly approved by the Dental Council of India.
Dental CollegeThe students are apprised of the ailments of the patients, particularly those requiring multi-specialty care and needs to be treated by dental experts. The focus is on the overall expertise which should be attained to become a successful dentist as well as brushing up their communication skills. From time to time, prominent dentists are invited to discuss and interact on the issues confronting the profession of dentistry. The College encourages both the faculty and students to participate in national as well as international seminars, conferences and workshops and to get a know-how of the latest advances made in the field of Dental Science.
The future Plans of the College include starting MDS programme in the following fields of dentistry: prosthodontics, including crown and bridge, conservative dentistry and endodontics, orthodontics, pedodontics, periodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, oral pathology, oral medicine diagnosis and radiology, community and preventive dentistry.
