•For the Post:- Junior Engineer (Agriculture)
The eligibility criteria for the following vacancies is as follows
Educational Qualification- Applicants with an engineering diploma in agricultural, civil or mechanical engineering from recognized institutions are eligible for applying for the above posts. However preference will be given to agricultural diploma holders.
Age Limit- Applicants aged between 18 and 38 years of age are eligible for application. Other age relaxations would be as per government rules.
Application Fee- Applicants are required to pay an application fee of Rs 5/- in the form of treasury challan. ST/SC candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 2.50/-. Applicants are required to submit the name of post and Department and full Head of account “Non Tax revenue- Other Non revenue -0051-PSC.102-State Public Service Commission Application/ Examination Fee Receipt of A.P.C.
Selection Procedure- Selection Procedure consists of written exam and interview.

•Offline means of obtaining application form- Issue and Receipt Section, Assam Public Service Commission, Jawahar Nagar, Khanpara, Guhwati- 22.
•Application forms can also be obtained by writing to the Deputy Secretary Public Service Commission by clearing stating the post for which you wish to apply. Application can be obtained upto 4:00 pm during office hours.

The Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) came into existence on Ist April, 1937 in accordance with the provision of the Govt. of India Act, 1935 with Mr James Hezelett, a retired ICS officer from London, as its first Chairman. Till framing a new regulation in 1951, five more officers mostly retired ICS officer, held the office of the Chairman for different period after Mr James Hezelett. On India becoming Republic, the regulations of the Commission were framed by the Governor of Assam in exercise of the powers conferred by Article 318 of the Constitution of India and the same came into force w.e.f. Ist September 1951. Also in the same year the Assam Public Service Commission (Limitation of Functions) Regulation was promulgated in exercise of the powers conferred by the provision of clause II of Article 320 of the Constitution.
