Asset Management Senior Analyst - Service Management
Under limited supervision, performs multiple, sometimes complex asset management support activities in accordance with EY policy; participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policy, procedures, and performance standards; monitors multiple asset management operational metrics to ensure proper management/control of the asset estate; participates in software license compliance activities; responsible for advanced reporting/analysis; uses appropriate tools, techniques and standards to meet organizational goals and objectives; ensures optimal customer support.
Interacts with and influences team members; frequent contact with other IT Services personnel; broad range of work, sometimes complex and non routine, in variety of environments.
Ø Perform ad hoc reporting and analysis (basic to advanced requests)
Ø Assists with the assessment and proposal of local office inventory levels and inventory mix.
Ø Reviews/analyzes physical inventories and security audit results and propose corrective actions to resolve deviations.
Ø Participates in area/sub area initiatives to assess inventory management processes, controls and/or performance.
Ø Serve as a primary point of contact for local office inventory issues
Ø Assists with local office asset management support activities in accordance with firm policy.
Ø Monitors the IT asset lifecycle (procurement/receipt through retirement)
Ø Assist with software license compliance activities
Ø Interprets performance metrics, perform root cause analysis, assess the consequences, and identify solutions to local office asset management problems.
Ø Assists with developing, coordinating, implementing and communicating global asset management policy and procedures, and promotes area awareness and adherence to the program
Ø Performs research on, and assessments of, local asset management processes
Ø Works with various Operations and IT Services groups to assist in interpreting or executing asset management procedures
Ø Conducts training sessions for ITAM systems, processes and tools.
Ø Participates in the coordination of local office project management process for area/sub area asset management initiatives.
Ø Incumbent will be empowered to liaise with other functions in IT Services to establish quality improvement in asset management processes. Problems/challenges typically faced:
Ø Compliance gaps (lack of compliance with the execution of asset management processes and procedures; the incumbent attempts to resolve these types of issues independently with people responsible for execution before escalating to asset management team lead)
Ø Knowledge gaps (lack of knowledge or understanding regarding asset management processes/procedures by the people responsible for executing asset management procedures; depending on the scope of the knowledge gap, the incumbent may provide training to an individual, or, if the gap is widespread, recommend to their team lead that more formal widespread training is necessary)
