Applications are invited from Male and Female Indian citizens who are ordinarily resident in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala for filling up the vacancies of Constables (Trade & Technical) in CRPF.
Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized Board / University.
i) For post of Constable(Fitter), candidates must have passed Motor Vehicle Fitter Course (Automobiles)/Motor Mechanic Course from ITI or any other recognized institutions and should have one year experience.However, wards of CRPF personnel who have undergonetraining in ITIs run by CRPF are exempted from one yearpractical experience.
ii) For post of CT(Driver), candidates should possess “Transport Vehicle” driving licence and pass the driving test at the time of recruitment. DRIVING LICENCES POSSESSED BY THE CANDIDATESSHOULD BE IN CONFORMITY WITH THE PROVISIONS OF MOTOR VEHICLES ACT, 1988.
iii) For post of CT(Bugler/ Tailor/ Cobler/ Carpenter/Gardener/ Painter/ Pipe Band/ Brass Band/ Cook/ Water Carrier/Safai Karmachari / Barber/ Washerman/Woman & Hair Dresser),candidates should be having good working knowledge of trade in which he/she wishes to be enlisted.
iv) Candidates should qualify trade test at the time of recruitment process.
Between 18 to 23 Years as on 01/8/2012. Relaxation
a) Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.
b) The children and dependent family members of those who were killed in the riots of 1984 would be eligible for relaxation in upper age by 5 years. If the applicant belongs to SC/ST or OBC category, the relaxation so provided in this clause will be in additionto the age relaxation as applicable in (a) above. Toobtain this relaxation a certificate from the concernedDistrict Magistrate of the district where the victim waskilled, should be attached with the application.
c) Upper age limit upto 05 years is also relaxable for those persons who had originally been domiciled inthe State of J & K during the period from 1st January, 1980 to 31st December, 1989. If the applicantbelongs to SC/ST or OBC category, the relaxation soprovided in this clause will be in addition to the agerelaxation as applicable in (a) above. The persons claiming relaxation under this category shouldproduce a certificate to the effect that they had beendomiciled in the State of J & K during the period from1st January, 1980 to 31st December, 1989 from theDistrict Magistrate within whose jurisdiction they hadoriginally resided or from any authority designated inthis behalf by the Govt. of J & K.
d) The children and dependent family members of those who were killed in the riots of 2002 in Gujarat would be eligible for relaxation in upper age by 5 years. If the applicant belongs to SC/ST or OBC category, therelaxation so provided in this clause will be in additionto the age relaxation as applicable in (a) above. Toobtain this relaxation a certificate from the concernedDistrict Magistrate of the district where the victim was killed, should be produced at the time of recruitment.

ii) The minimum height for all candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will be for –
Male candidates - 162.5 Cms.
Female candidates - 150 Cms

Un-expanded - 80 Cms (with minimum 5 Cms expansion)
i) Minimum chest of male candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of Sikkim, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Tripura, Mizoram, Meghalaya,Assam, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir will be un-expanded - 78 Cms with minimum 5 Cms expansion.
ii) The minimum chest for all male candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes will be un-expanded - 76 Cms withminimum 5 Cms expansion.
WEIGHT Proportionate/corresponding to height and age as per Medical standard.
a) Eye Sight:-
i) The minimum distance vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of two eyes without correction i.e. without wearing of glasses.
ii) Should be free from colour blindness.
b) The candidates must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose vein or squint in eyes and they should possess high colour vision. They must be in good mental and bodilyhealth and free from any physical defects likely to interfere with the efficient performance of the duties.
Eligible and desirous candidates should send their applications in the proforma given in Appendix-A. Application forms duly completed in all respects and after affixing latest passport size photographs be sent to the authorities, as mentioned below, located within the State ofdomicile of the candidate so as to reach there on or before 1700hrs on 26/11/2012.
