Central University of Punjab, Bathinda invites applications for the post of Assistant Professors and Associate Professor in the following centres of studies on purely temporary and contract basis for one year or till the positions are filled up on regular basis whichever is earlier:

Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences:- Drug Designing, Nanochemistry, Computational Chemistry
Human Genetics Cytogenetics, Human Molecular Genetics*
Computer Science and Technology:- Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering*
Environmental Science and Technology:- Environmental Engineering, Waste Management*
Environmental Law:- Constitutional Law, Environmental law, International Law*
Economic Studies:- Development Economics, Industrial Economics, Macroeconomics
South and Central Asian Studies:- Political Science, Geography
Medium of Instruction : English
Emoluments (Consolidated) : Assistant Professor: NET + Ph.D. : Rs. 42,000/- p.m.
M.Tech.(CSE/CS & T) : Rs. 36,000/- p.m.
Associate Professor: Rs. 85,000/- p.m.
Free Accommodation: Depending upon the availability, partly furnished transit accommodation at city campus may be given to faculty free of cost for three months on sharing basis. Minimum Qualifications:
1 Assistant Professor as per UGC minimum qualifications for appointment of Teachers and other academic staff in universities and colleges and measures for the maintenance of standard in higher education 2010. Except for Computer Science & Technology - the essential qualification for Assistant Professors is NET/SLET + Ph.D.
2 Associate Professor as per UGC minimum qualifications for appointment of Teachers and other academic staff in universities and colleges and measures for the maintenance of standard in higher education 2010.
Good academic record with atleast 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/Physically & Visually handicapped candidates) or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point with letter grade scale at the Master’s degree level, in relevant discipline from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
The candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree), Regulation 2009, shall be exempt from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET for recruitment and appointment as Assistant Professor”.
