JOB DESCRIPTION:-


EXPECTED WORK:-


The responsibility of the Factory Cold Chain Executives will span from Factory Cold Store, In-transit Refrigerated Trucks, and Depot Cold Store. This includes Cold Chain Excellence, Stock control, Temperature controls, and Reverse logistics of crates, Truck placement and turnaround between Factory & Depot, SAI at the Depot. In short, the Factory will then extend its scope of responsibility until the Depots Cold Store along the cold chain; while having a centralized leadership in the Asst Cold Chain Manager for strengthening systems and improving controls.

Instituting the necessary Operations Excellence systems/processes such as ‘Depot TPMEdge’
Regular Audit / Review of systems and controls
Root Cause Analysis of any Cold Chain Disruption (Depots Cold Stores or Refrigerated Vans) leading to Service Loss, Quality Issues or Business Waste or spoilage.
Temperature Controls and compliance to Norms including In-transit and Depot Colds Store
Coordination between Factories, Supply Planner & Branch Planner on Stocks, Despatch Compliance & Distribution
Refrigerated Trucks Quality Controls, Placement and Turnaround between Factory & Depot
Crate Specifications & System for Reverse Logistics of Crates
Stock Controls including In-Transit & Depot Cold Store
Business Waste avoidance on account of temperature shocks, stock handling, etc.

3. RESOURCE TO BE MANAGED UNDER POSITIONS AUTHORITY
(Include Budget, Capital Expenditure, NPS, People, systems, financial values, etc) Resources to be managed are as follows:

ICD Stocks including Factory Cold Store, In-transit, Depot Cold Store
Cold Chain Transportation from Factory to Depot
Reverse Logistics of Crates from Depot to Factory

1. Root Cause Analysis for Cold Chain disruptions
2. Crisis Response in Temperature Shocks
3. Conflict Resolution on temperature norms between factory, transporter & depot
4. Upgrading & Instituting Operations Excellence (Depot TPMEdge) in Cold Stores
5. Temperature Controls in-Transit and at Depot Cold Store
6. Logistics issues including truck turnarounds, detentions, etc.
7. Inventory management & Physical Inventory Control

(Describe quality of innovation required : describe any new activities which have been or need to be initiated) Give upto 5 examples

The entire role is a new role, which had been managed as a par responsibility by the Branch Planner, and had been inadequately resourced leading to loss of Service (CCFOT), Cost (Business Waste) and Quality (Temperature Shocks)

(List personal qualities, skills required, previous experience)

– Personal Qualities: Analytical approach, team worker, strong influencing skills, Strong Inter personal skills.
– Skills: Good Knowledge of Supply Chain Source & deliver process, Commercial Controls, Inventory management, Negotiation Skills and Stock Hygiene in Mfg Set up. Well versed in MS Office. Knowledge of Sap is essential


Required Experience:
Should have sales experience of 4 years and above in a FMCG sector.

Education: Candidate should be a Graduate. Preferably MBA/PGDM

Industry preference: Preferably FMCG.
