Responsibilities

    Identify and prioritize key VCs with portfolio companies that have infrastructure needs, and drive ongoing engagement with those VCs to ensure they are successful using our platform and have the technical and business resources required. Identify and engage key Accelerators and Incubators and drive the engagement with them.
    Handle a high volume of engagements in the fast pace of the cloud computing market. Generate business growth and opportunities for the Sales team while working hand-in-hand to bring opportunities, and use our internal systems to track impact and effectiveness and contribute to operational excellence.
    Contribute to business reviews for senior management by reporting key metrics related to new VC and accelerator engagements. Analyze data on utilization and consumption to determine high profile, high growth startup companies.
    Communicate and collaborate with the cross-functional team (Sales, Product, Marketing, Legal) to give updates on progress and roadblocks regarding being successful with this audience.
    Help continuously improve Google Cloud Platform's go-to-market strategy. Initiate and execute initiatives to scale the business.

Minimum qualifications

    BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
    4 years of Business Development or Sales experience (e.g. in the cloud, web services, or infrastructure space).
    Experience working with startups, and experience with the Venture Capital, Incubator/Accelerator space.

Preferred qualifications

    6 years of Business Development or Sales experience in the cloud, web services, or infrastructure space.
    Strong knowledge of Public Cloud, including Platform and Infrastructure as a service.
    Deep knowledge of startup ecosystem, technology markets, and demand generation with an established network in the VC/Accelerator ecosystem and a deep familiarity with key players.
    Deep knowledge of key technologies and concepts such as database systems, distributed compute environments, application development, big data analytics, fundamentals of cloud computing including virtualization, storage systems and content delivery networks.
    Ability to understand client’s cloud architecture needs and recommend appropriate solutions using excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, while championing the Google Cloud Platform.
