The role: Head of Agency Business
As the Head of Agency, you will focus on driving forward our relationships with key agency partners in India. You possess an analytical mindset and prove exceptional at relationship development. Focusing on key agency accounts, you will be responsible for forging a strong partnership approach to their business, growing and diversifying revenue across all the India market. You will have revenue responsibility focused on the growth and development of advertising/digital agency relationships. You must have the ability to grow and scale the business to several hundred million USD. You will be tasked with deepening relationships and increasing market share with agencies. You will partner with agencies to develop breakthrough strategies and solutions, grounded in strong business acumen and innovative thinking, to yield better results than competitors. You will also be responsible for providing agency partners with tools, analytics, and ideas needed to better serve their clients and optimize media budgets.
As the Head of Agency you will recruit and lead a team and ensure the correct investments in people and technology.The Head of Agency will report directly to the Managing Director, India. It is a leadership role and will be part of Google India's senior management.
* Set overall business strategy, revenue targets, and product adoption targets for agencies in your holding group
* Plan for and ensure growth in sales across search and display platforms and all media
* Provide guidance and expertise to sales teams on the dynamics, trends opportunities, and challenges of the agencies in your holding group.
* Identify and execute unique business partnership opportunities.
* Hire, train, mentor, and lead agency relationship managers
* BA/BS degree and MBA preferred or equivalent experience
* At least 15 years of combined experience in media, management, and/or consulting preferred
* At least 6 years of experience in the industry, preferably in marketing, brand management, or advertising sales.
* At least 10 years of agency expertise (working with or partnering with agencies), with exceptional understanding of the agency business and communications planning with an extensive list of relationships
* Proven track record of leading world-class sales teams and other managers effectively.
