The role: Head of Industry, Consumer Packaged Goods

As Head of Industry, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), you will manage a team that consults with clients and agencies on digital marketing and e-commerce, while also focusing on growing Google's advertising, marketing and business development solutions in your sector. You must have an ability to directly maintain and nurture executive relationships with clients in the CPG industry. You will have complete responsibility to develop and execute the strategy for all advertising sales revenues with the advertisers in the sectors on a national level. You will combine strong presentation and communication skills with proven problem-solving and people-management abilities. While developing and maintaining key relationships with the main stake-holders of the verticals, you will also work towards evangelizing interest in the internet and e-commerce, which strategically orients the development of the online media market for this sector. Working at the senior level, you will educate the market on the rewards of online
advertising and represent the company at key industry events and associations. You will also be a key member of the India senior management group, working with the country Managing Director towards shaping the three to five year growth road map for Google India. Finally, you will also be required to hire, train, and lead a high-performance sales team, whose job is to be the best consulting organization in the digital and marketing space.

Responsibilities:-

    * Hire, train, and serve as a mentor to your team, and contribute to your region's leadership.
    * Create and execute revenue strategies, account planning, and business processes for an assigned        list of key accounts.
    * Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of Google's products and services. Represent                     Google at sector-targeted events and associations.
    * Build and solidify senior relationships with top industry-specific direct advertisers and agencies.


Requirements:-

    * MBA preferred with a strong academic record.
    * At least 10 years of sales experience in a relevant industry. Exposure to the marketing function is               desirable.
    * Substantial experience in business development, client relationship and servicing skills, and                     consultative selling.
    * Experience in a fast-paced technology start-up environment is preferred.
    * Demonstrated success at managing cross-functional teams and building strong relationships                 across departments.
    * Understanding of media businesses and management operations.
