Eligibility Criteria:-
Age Limit:- Minimum 18 years and maximum 22 years.
Upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC category candidates.
Educational Qualification:- Matriculate and three years Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronic Engg. with 60% in aggregate from Board/Institute recognised by Board of Central/State Government. (Maximum 5% relaxation in the above percentage for SC/ ST candidates, sports person o f National level and wards of Coast Guard uniform personnel deceased while in service).
Medical Standards
Height:- Minimum height 157 cms. Reduction in height for candidates from hilly areas and tribal areas will be in accordance with t he Central Govt. orders.
Chest - Should be well proportioned. Minimum expansion 5 cms.
Weight:- Proportionate to height and age + 10% acceptable. Hearing: normal
Visual Standards- 6/24 without glasses and 6/9 & 6/12 with glasses for Better Eye and Worse Eye respectively

Indian Coast Guard- ICG was established in 1978. It operates under the Department of Defence of the Union Ministry of Defence. ICG has 42 Coast Guard Stations, 5 Coast Guard Air Stations and 10 Coast Guard Air Enclaves.
Indian Coast Guard Officers are appointed in the Coast Guard in one of three branches, as either General Duty officer, Pilot officer , Technical officer or Law officers.
