Applications are invited for the post of Chief Law Officer , as head of the Legal Division [pay scale Rs.32900-3% -58000 (on IDA pattern )] on deputation basis for a period of 3 years. Accordingly, Officers from the Major PortTrusts/Central/State Government Departments/Autonomous Bodies/Semi Govt./ PSUs etc. fulfilling the prescribed qualifications and experience given below mayapply:
(i) Law degree from a recognized university/Institution.
(ii) Officer should be holding analogous post or post of Dy. Chief Law Officer or equivalent posts in the discipline of Legal Division/Department in thepayscale Rs.24900-3%-50500 in Govt,/PSUs or Autonomous Bodies with3 years regular service in the grade.
Post Graduate degree in Law from a recognized university
The appointment on deputati on will be governed by the Central Government standard terms of deputati on (Appendix 5, Part I, General Rules, Swamy's Compilation of FRSR).
Benefits admissible include DA on IDA pattern (2001 series), and other allowances with gross remuneration of about Rs. 72000 plus HRA at 30% in casenot residing in Ports accommodation.

(ii) Photocopies of the ACRs for the last five years (1.4.2007 to 31.3.2012) duly attested by an officer not below the rank of Dy. HOD.
(iii) Vigilance clearance, signed by the Chief Vigilance Officer.
(iv) Statement of major/minor penalty imposed, if any, during the last ten years.
