Legal Officer (Gr. B/C)
Educational Qualification:- 1st Class Degree in Law from a recognized University/ Institute. - Proficiency in computer applications. Desirable : Post Graduate qualification in Law with specialization in Commercial/ Corporate Law.
Salary Scale:- Grade – B, Rs. 29100-54500
Grade – C, Rs. 32900-58000
Must have a post qualification experience of minimum five years as a practicing Advocate either as Associate/ Partner of a Legal Firm or Independent Practice. OR Experience of working as a Law Officer in the Legal Department of a Public Sector Company with at least one year as a practicing Advocate either as Associate/ Partner of a Legal Firm or Independent Practice, totaling minimum 5 years experience. Subject to meeting the above requirements, Candidates with total post qualification experience of 9 years or more may be considered for placement in Grade ‘C’.
Note : The practicing experience shall be considered from the date of enrollment as an advocate.
Experience Profile:- Should be well conversant with all legal matters and should have knowledge of Law relating to contracts, Taxation, Labour, Customs, Excise, Land Acquisition, Civil Matters, Arbitration etc. The incumbent is also expected to have in-depth knowledge and experience in vetting of deeds, drafting of petitions and other legal documents besides ensuring compliance with requirements under various Acts, conducting court and arbitration cases, vetting of contracts and rendering legal advice to other departments.
Age Limit:- 18 to 40 years
Experience: - Minimum 20 years post qualification work experience (as on 1.6.2011) in Finance Division of a Commercial establishment preferably in Petroleum Refining and Marketing sector. Candidates presently holding the position of Chief Manager/Dy.General Manager in Petroleum Sector shall get preference. Candidate should have a proven track record of managing large team of Finance Professionals with exposure in ERP environment (preferably SAP), Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Treasury operation, Direct and Indirect Tax, Pay roll administration, etc.The candidate should be able to independently head the Finance Function and should have the capacity to interact with agencies like Govt.Auditors, Statutory Auditors, Tax Authorities, Ministry Officials, Banks and Insurance Companies etc.
