The Services & Support India engineering team is looking for a Development Manager to lead the software engineering function for the Engagement Management and Workforce Management capabilities of CSS & ES businesses.

As the Development Manager for RXD’s Services & Support team you will envision, design, and deliver against multi-year engineering plans empowering the Services business with strategic solutions to their end-to-end user experience, business process, and information opportunities and challenges. You will be responsible for the development and production of key LOB applications in the engagement management and workforce management capabilities.


The Ideal candidate should demonstrate the ability to have FUN along with the following skills:

  • Envision, design, and build LOB applications for Engagement Management and Workforce Management Capabilities.
  • Envision global platforms and successfully build a model for code re-use.
  • Recruit, build, mentor and maintain a high performance team.
  • Work closely with others in Program Management, Test, Development as well as senior management teams in the India and Redmond.
  • Lead development team in adherence to high quality standards. Be a model for continuous improvement and quality as a foundation throughout the entire engineering process.
  • Initiate, promote and implement engineering best practices.
  • Provide technical and career guidance and mentorship to developers and leads.
  • Align and manage development resources across India and Redmond teams
  • Effectively implement changes aligned with business objectives across the group.

As a successful candidate:-

  • You have strong technical and management background, including 10+ years of software development experience and 5+ years of managing a development team from product inception to ship.
  • Demonstrated success and proven track record in building and leading a strong development team, mentoring, and delivering excellence in code quality and engineering process.
  • You must be a respected development leader with a proven track record of shipping products through multiple product cycles while dealing with challenges such as cross-team dependencies, rapid shipping schedules, managing multiple projects in parallel, being able to analyze diverse requirements and make recommendations as to implementation strategies, estimate development costs and deliver against commitments.
  • You must have strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • You must have solid fundamental Computer Science skills and have a passion for cutting-edge technologies.
  • Bachelor or advanced degree in engineering, computer science, management information systems or business administration
  • You need to be proficient in at least two of the following: C#, , JScript/Javascript, AJAX, Silverlight application development, SharePoint application development, Web Service/SOAP, WPF, Server application and Web and/or network protocols, SQL and database technologies.
  • You need a strong and wide range of technical skills and deep understanding of how to build software at scale.
