# Technical scouting and feasibility studies

# Performance benchmarking of various topologies (design concepts vs. performance, losses and costs)

# Selection of PWM methodology and switching frequency
• PhD and research record in Electrical / Power Electronics / Power Systems from a top university. Masters with 5 years relevant experience and achievements is also considered.
• Must be passionate to work on R&D projects in the development and implementation of advanced technologies in the areas of HVDC & FACTS.
Our R&D Centre in Chennai is focusing on development of innovative technologies in the areas of HVDC & FACTS and is an integral part of global R&D organization.
The R&D centre will concentrate on development of new technologies in the areas of semiconductors, converter design, main circuit design, cable technology, converter control strategies, power system studies, etc for HVDC & FACTS applications.
This centre works in close collaboration with R&D teams in Sweden, Switzerland and participates in global R&D projects.
The centre is also collocated with HVDC&FACTS project engineering groups in Chennai, which gives a unique opportunity to the research engineers to interact and learn about the customer and market needs.
