Job description:-

SolutionCenterEngineer

    * Working remotely to diagnose/solve customer issues, over the phone, via web collaboration, mail or fax
    * Understanding criticality of issue and business impact by demonstrating mission critical mindset
    * Provide immediate technical response and expertise in restoration of customer High availability environments.
    * Applying systematic problem solving techniques, high quality call documentation
    * Be fully aware of the business impact of ongoing issues and thus keep customers abreast of all action plans and developments during the resolution process.
    * Delivers timely solutions to customer issues and meets the defined SLAs for resolution time.
    * Own the Customer issues
    * Works to identify the cause of the issue in the shortest/quickest path.
    * Initiate Elevations/Escalations in accordance with HP procedures
    * Consistent in meeting/improvement in operational excellence
   * first time fix
    * higher remote closure %
    * efficient diagnosis  - PPE

      improve CSAT

      e-Assist (WEB chat, referral to knowledge database)

      
    * Interface with Access team and Logistics as needed
    * Communicate to the customer successive actions and status periodically
    * Knowledge generation and support of customers to use existing knowledge repositories
    * Adherence to process

 
Qualifications Profile:-

Bachelor's or  Diploma  in Computer Science, Information Systems,Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

HP Certifications  -  in HP9000, Itanium, HP-UX, Linux - RHCE, SuSE Linux, VMWare
 
Overall Experience of 2+ Years
 
Remote support Experience preferred
Min 1 year of Workng on Enterprize systems and Storage is must
Working on the following products will be definite advantage
 
HP9000 - full range - From A-Class to Superdome
Itanium - Full range
Blue Storage products like FC60, Arrays, VAs
                                   or
HPUX - LVM, Service Guard, Trusting Computing
                                   or
 Linux, VMWare

Must possess very strong problem solving and resolution experience.
Must be very customer oriented and focused on meeting the customer's needs.
Must have very good verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in troubleshooting

Experience on RedHat Linux 4 and 5
Experience on Novell SuSe Linux 9, 10, 11
Knowledge on booting, LVM, Kernel, Networking, attached storage, UNIX security
Good soft skills for (AMS)
Should have Intel-based hardware experience
