About Anhui University of Architecture (AIAI)
The Anhui University of Architecture (AIAI) was established in 1958. AIAI is a provincial multi-disciplinary university which focuses on engineering, features with civil engineering, develops coordinately in science, engineering, management, liberal arts and law, and integrates among research, teaching and production. Located in Hefei, the capital city of Anhui Province and one of the national innovation pilot cities, AIAI has the north and the south campuses, covering an area of 1100 mu. AIAI has been honored with a series of titles, such as National Model Unit for College Students’ Social Practice, National Model Unit for University Rear-Service, Provincial Model Unit for Graduate Employment Rate, Provincial Model Unit for Physical Education and Public Health, and Safe Campus in Hefei.
Currently, AIAI is composed of 14 schools and departments offering 34 graduate programs and 10 vocational programs. It has more than 1100 faculty and staff, of which over 240 have senior professional titles.
So far, AIAI has an enrollment of 16,000 full-time students. AIAI attaches great importance to the cultivation of application-oriented students and its graduates are in great demand in job markets.
The university is authorized to confer Master degree in Structural Engineering, Engineering Dynamics, Urban Planning and Design (Landscape Planning and Design), Municipal Engineering, Materials Science. These programs have formed 5 interrelated and interdependent discipline groups, under which there are civil engineering and architecture, environment and planning, chemical engineering and materials, electromechanical engineering and information, as well as economics and management.
AIAI is active in developing international cooperation and academic exchanges and has established a close exchange relations with Technische Universität Dresden, Germany, Illinois Institute of Technology, USA, Hanseo University, South Korea, and CITI Management Institute, Singapore.
