About Franklin University
Franklin University is a private university in downtown Columbus, Ohio, United States, North America. In addition to a main campus downtown, Franklin offers programs at three suburban locations in Dublin, Ohio, Delaware, Ohio, and Westerville, Ohio. In July 2009, Franklin expanded to Indianapolis, Indiana, opening a physical location on the north side of the city. Franklin University also offers degree programs globally via their online class offerings.

In 1902, Franklin was founded by the YMCA as the School of Commerce.[citation needed]

As of July 2009, Franklin University offers 25 undergraduate majors and three Graduate Programs, and has more than 10,000 students enrolled annually. This includes over 600 international students from more than 80 countries. Additionally, more than 230 community colleges across the U.S. have partnered with Franklin University to offer their graduates the opportunity to earn their bachelor's degree by taking two additional years of classes online via Franklin's Community College Alliance Program.

Franklin was chosen by the U.S. Department of Education as one of the first 15 colleges to participate in a pilot program allowing unlimited distance education, and the United States Army chose Franklin University as one of the original 29 institutions it selected to participate in the delivery of online education to eligible enlisted soldiers via GoArmyEd
