About University of Judaism
Welcome. Whether you are considering your undergraduate or post graduate options, or looking for continuing education or connection to Jewish culture, we think you will find our web site interesting and informative. Here's why: American Jewish University (AJU), with its Familian and Brandeis-Bardin campuses, is one of the most dynamic institutions on the West Coast and certainly one of the largest and most innovative Jewish institutions in the country.

We are a school for Jews, and non-Jews, the observant and the secular. If you are looking for a first-rate education, you have come to the right site.
Our fresh approaches to undergraduate education have garnered the respect and praise of academics across the nation. Students have an unparalleled opportunity to informally interact with internationally recognized scholars, and are offered a mentoring program that can facilitate personal introductions into their field of choice. AJU has been able to sustain one of the lowest student-faculty ratios in the nation at 7:1 while maintaining one of the most affordable tuition rates of a private university in Southern California. We are also proud of our record of 95% placement of graduates seeking graduate programs and professional schools.

AJU’s cutting-edge masters’ degree programs which include: The David Leiber School of Graduate Studies offering graduate programs in Nonprofit Management; and the William and Freda Fingerhut School of Education providing superb training in the field of Jewish education, are ranked among the finest graduate programs in the country.

The Whizin Center for Continuing Education offers extensive and diverse opportunities for learning and involvement in Jewish history, literature, current events, arts, entertainment, personal development, Yiddish and Hebrew.

AJU made history when we opened the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies in 1996 as it was the first independent rabbinical school west of the Mississippi. Today this trailblazing seminary with its unprecedented blend of academic rigor, emotional warmth and innovative spirit, prepares Jewish clergy for the challenges of the next century.
