ADMISSION PROCEDURE & TERMS AND CONDITIONS
REGISTRATION PROCEDURES AND RULES
Registration Form can be obtained from the school office by paying registration fee.
Registration Form shall be issued on request and on producing the credentials of the child whose admission is sought. However, the receipt of Registration Form doesn't guarantee admission.
Submission of Registration Form
a) For Nursery to Std. I
Registration form duly filled along with copy of Municipal Birth Certificate, Medical Fitness Certificate, Immunisation Certificate and 1 recent passport size photograph of the child must be submitted to the school office within 3 days of collecting the form.
b) For Class II to X
Duly filled up registration form is to be submitted along with proof of schooling such as copy of First Term Result, Medical Fitness Certificate, copy of Birth Certificate and 1 recent passport size photograph within 3 days from the date of issue from the school office.
Please note that incomplete/illegible registration forms without the above mentioned documents shall not be accepted.
c) For Class XI
Selection for internal candidates shall be made on the basis of aptitude and interest test + CCE grade and for external candidates in science stream on the basis of merit in test on English/Maths/Science along with aptitude and interest test. List shall be put on school notice board on the dates specified at the time of submission of registration form.
Selection for commerce stream for external candidates shall be made on the basis of merit in test comprising English, Maths and social science along with aptitude and interest test.
Admission Criteria for Nursery to Std X
Admission shall strictly be on Merit. However, admission shall primarily be subjected to the availability of seats.
For – Nursery
The admission to Nursery is on first come first serve basis till the availability of seats. Priority to the extent of 60% shall be given to local students.
For – Jr. Kg.
The date of peer group interaction/written test / interview shall be intimated at the time of submission of registration form.
For – Sr. Kg. to Std X
The test shall consist of subjects English, General Science / E.V.S., Maths and Hindi and G.K./Social Studies of 25 marks each of total duration 2 ½ Hours. Syllabus for the test shall be of the class in which the child is currently studying. The list of qualified candidates will be displayed on the Notice Board on the dates specified at the time of interview.
The school authorities reserve the right to change the date and time of interview/interaction / written test.
Requests for alterations in the dates of interaction or written test will not be accepted.
Eligibility for Admission
a. Nursery to Std. I
To be eligible for admission, the candidate must fulfill the age criteria specified below. No deviation whatsoever from these dates shall be entertained.
As on 31st December of the academic session in which the admission is sought-
1. For Nursery - 2 ½ years
2. For Jr. KG. - 3 ½ years
3. For Sr. KG. - 4 ½ years
4. For Std. I - 5 ½ years
b. For Std. I to X
To be eligible for admission the candidate must score minimum 70% marks in each subject in the entrance test. Hindi shall be a qualifying exam up to Std. IX. If a child fails to score 40% marks in Hindi he/she shall not be eligible for admission.
Successful candidates whose names are on the list must pay the fees by the dates indicated in the list, displayed on the School Notice Board, otherwise admission will automatically stand cancelled.
Parents are requested to carefully fill and submit the Admission Form, Transportation Form (where applicable) and Medical Form (where applicable) at the time of payment of fees.
Submission of Original Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation / Local Bodies as applicable along with the Admission Form is mandatory for Classes Nursery to Std. I . From Std. II to XII original School Leaving Certificate must be attached with the Admission Form. The School Leaving Certificate should be counter signed by D.E.O. / concerned CBSE Regional Officer. 'Attested Copy' or such other certified copies of the Birth Certificate / Leaving Certificate will not be accepted. No further enquiry or request on this matter shall be appreciated. (Any failure to pay the fees by due date shall automatically cancel the admission. No request regarding submission of fees after due date shall be entertained.)
Payment of Admission Fees & Other Details
The details of fees to be paid are put up at the Fee Counter. Fees are to be paid within 3 days of granting admission. Before paying the fees, the ADMISSION FORM has to be filled in. Admission Form can be obtained from the office by producing the registration slip after confirmation of interaction / written test results.
Fees once paid shall not be refunded for any reason whatsoever.
Fees are to be paid by crossed Pay Order / Demand Draft only in favor of D.A.V. PUBLIC SCHOOL, AIROLI at the fees counter. However, cash shall also be accepted.
Regarding Uniform, Text Books and Note Books, details are put up on the school notice board or website www.davairoli.org in first week of March.
Cancellation of Admission / Withdrawal Rules
Parents seeking T.C. must give an application to the school office two months before the date of withdrawal.
Application for withdrawals is to be made on a prescribed proforma available in the school office. Two months notice period is required for withdrawal failing which full fees for all the months of absence will be charged along with bus fees. (If child is availing school bus facility). The identity card of the child should be returned along with application form for withdrawal.
In case of cancellation of admission by the parent for any reason, only the Caution Money paid shall be refunded. The caution money may be refunded after a minimum period of 2 years only from the submission of request for cancellation. No correspondence regarding the relaxation may please be made.
An application along with the receipt of caution money deposit should be submitted to the school office.
Clearance must be ensured from the labs, library and person in charge of Sports Department before applying for withdrawal.
The School Leaving Certificate will be issued only after 15-20 days from declaration of result of subsequent assessment without counter signature and after 1 month with counter signature and after the clearance of all dues. Under no circumstances Leaving Certificate will be issued earlier than the period specified.
Parents seeking for withdrawal shall have to pay following dues
a) Monthly Fee: For two months b) Annual Activity (Yearly Fee)
c) Term Fees (Ist & IInd) c ) Bus fees for 11months (If student is availing bus facility)
School Office shall remain closed on all Sundays, Public Holidays and on 2nd Saturdays. Fees shall be accepted from 9.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon on all working days (i.e. Monday - Friday)
