Mayo College Girls School was established in 1988. Comprising of classes IV to XII, the school is affiliated to the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, one of the All - India patterns of Secondary Education recognized by the government of India. The council conducts two public examinations in March each year –one at the end of standard X for which it awards the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) and the other at the end of Standard XII for which it awards the Indian School Certificate (ISC)

Mayo College Girls School is purely residential and the medium of instruction is English. The school year consists of two terms. Class periods are 40 minutes each, seven periods a day, six days a week for 240 working days per year.

The lowest class that we have here is class 4 and your ward on attaining the age of 8 years and on passing class 3 preferably from an English Medium School can take the Entrance Test to be held on the 3rd Saturday of November every year for admission in the term commencing from July that year. The School follows the 10+2 scheme of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.

Kindly note age requirements, as in the Registration form, are very strict.

Registration for the Entrance Test:

A. Please send a Bank Draft for Rs. 6000/- (U.S. Dollar 300 for overseas) towards registration fee to enable us to register your daughter as it is essential to get the child registered with us prior to her taking the test for admission. The Registration Form which is in the Prospectus should be sent with the draft. The Registration fee is non refundable. Children being registered after June 30 of the year preceding admission to the College would have to pay, in addition to the Registration Fee, a late fee of Rs. 2000/- (For India & Saarc) or U.S. Dollars 60 for overseas candidates.
B. The Admission Card will normally reach you by the third week of October. In case you do not receive it by then, kindly write to us so that a duplicate may be issued and no inconvenience is caused to you at the examination centre.
C. Full Particulars regarding boarding, lodging fees etc. are available in the Prospectus which can be had by sending a Demand Draft for Rs. 550/- (in India) Saarc countries Rs. 600/- U.S. Dollar 20 for overseas in favour of MAYO COLLEGE GIRLS' SCHOOL, AJMER.
D. Syllabus for the Entrance test is printed in the prospectus and question papers of the past 2 or 3 year are available at the cost of Rs. 150/- (in India) Saarc countries Rs. 175/- U.S.D. 10 for overseas per set per year which can be obtained by sending a Demand Draft in favour of MAYO COLLEGE GIRLS' SCHOOL, AJMER for the amount as per your requirements. While asking for the question papers please do not forget to quote the class for which these papers are required.
E. Admission to Class XI is considered on the basis of the Board's result of Class X. We do not register Girls for Class XI; only on selection the registration is made. Admission is subject to merit and vacancy, and rarely will (does) a girl with less than 85% get admitted. Please get in touch with us when the Board result is declared. When applying for admission to class XI, enclose birth certificate, attested copy of Board result and state their combination of Subjects desired: Science, Commerce, Humanities. The cut off point for each stream is: Science 90%, Commerce 90%, Humanities 85%. No candidate above 16 years of age in March will be considered. No prior registration is made for Class XI.

Generel eligibility for BSc Bioinformatics:

You should have passed 12th exam from a recoughnized board with BIOLOGY as a subject.
some of the reputed universities are asking for minimum 55% marks in 12th exam.
