Oaktree International School is a candidate school affiliated to IB Diploma Programme (Grades 11 & 12), we are also seeking authorization to teach the IB Middle Years (MYP, Grades 6 - 10).  Applications have also been made to the Cambridge International Examinations for the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE, Grades 9 & 10) for approval as a centre to teach the IGCSE programme.

Oaktree International School has 30-acre campus, Every teaching room is equipped with an interactive board and a video projector giving teachers technologically advanced support in their classes. The laboratories are designed so that, in keeping with the school's belief in experiential learning, experimental work and theory complement one another. The media centre comprises a computing centre, an IT workshop and the school library, all equipped so that students are taught the skills of independent research at every level, fully equipped lecture and performance hall, provides the ideal venue for school plays, visiting speakers and school assemblies.

CRITERIA FOR ENTRY

Oaktree will welcome students who can demonstrate merit or potential for merit, as well as those who will work hard, show commitment to their studies, try their best and contribute to the school through active participation in a range of activities and residential life. Students will also be welcomed if they can show a good understanding for their age of personal responsibility. If the student is admitted, their test results will also allow the staff to make an initial assessment of general level of academic ability.

What is Merit?

Merit entails responsibility and understanding of obligations. When assessing levels of merit the selection committee will ask itself the question ‘is the student likely either now or at some later time to take full advantage of the opportunity of studying at Oaktree International School?’ If the answer is ‘yes’ or ‘most probably’ then the student is likely to be admitted.

Admission Tests:-

The entrance tests will not seek primarily to examine prior knowledge of facts. Facts are of course important but of no less importance are understanding, critical thinking, and general aptitude. The tests will cover a wide range of disciplines including English, Mathematics, Science and Humanities, but they will focus also on general reasoning and critical thinking.

The Admissions Interview:- The interview is designed to allow the student to introduce themselves to the panel, to discuss their application form, and to present some aspect of their life of which they are proud or which is of greatest interest to them.

Bio informatics is the mixed study of biology and Information science.There are many institutes offering this course in india.Fee structure for BSc Bioinformatics, varies from university to university. also the scope of placement varies.

Generel eligibility for BSc Bioinformatics:

You should have passed 12th exam from a recoughnized board with BIOLOGY as a subject.
some of the reputed universities are asking for minimum 55% marks in 12th exam.
