About St. Michaels High School
St. Michael's School, Digha Ghat, is a Higher Secondary Catholic School, founded in 1858 and now managed by the members of the Society of Jesus, a group of men dedicated to God's greater glory through the service of mankind.
The school is a minority charitable institution affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education for the All India Secondary School Examination (Class X) and the All India Senior School Certificate Examination (Class XII).
St. Michaels High School Class XI Admission:-
(a) High academic performance in the All India Secondary School Examination, the Entrance Test, Sent-Up Examination, Pre-Board Examination and his/her performance in Class IX.
(b) Regularity in attendance and work during IX-X. Thus, only those students can be accommodated who in addition to mental ability have also displayed serious application to studies.
(c) Character and conduct of the candidate should be such that during the course here at St. Michael’s School he /she has shown clear evidence that he/she has benefitted from the character formation offered in the school.
Mere academic performance WILL NOT MAKE THE STUDENT ELIGIBLE FOR ADMISSION TO CLASS XI. The Principal, in consultation with the Governing Body of the school, is the final arbiter in this matter.
For the Science Stream an average of 80% in Maths and Science. An aggregate of 65% is a must for the Commerce stream.
