The duties of clerks are divided are divided on the basis of banking hours and non banking hours as well.

Probationary Officers - Probationary Officers are appointed for a designated period of probation after which they are placed in a specific banking department based on both skill and evaluation. The recruitments for probationary officers are done almost every year.  This is a preferred job snippet especially for freshers seeking a career in the banking sector.

Specialized Officers - Specialized Officers are appointed for specialized roles in a banking organization. Some of the specialist officer’s roles in this bank include that of

Academic competence - The academic competence for various Andhra Bank recruitments depends upon varying capacities. For instance for the post of clerks candidates are required to be graduates with basic computer knowledge and application. For the post of probationary officers’ candidate preferably degree holders in any discipline are preferred. Existent employees from the bank are also allowed to apply. However if selected it is mandatory that they resign from their presently held posts and start services afresh. Selection Criteria - The essentional selection criteria for any of the posts in this bank is the CWE written test that is conducted by IBPS. IBPS scores are considered. Candidate applying should have passed the common written examination with a marks that is more or equivalent to Andhra Bank cuts offs list. The written test consists of the following sections

•Test of Reasoning
•Test of English language
•Test of numerical ability
•Test of general awareness
•Test of  computer knowledge

It is must be noted that apart from the overall cut off for the written test. There are also individual cutoffs for each section for both unreserved and reserved categories. Selected candidates are then called for an interview. Depending upon the vacancies and the performances of candidates in both the written test and interview recruitments are made
