AIIMS B.Sc Nursing (post Certificate) Admission
DURATION OF THE COURSE - Two Academic years.
ELIGIBILITY
A Candidate must have:-
(i) Passed Senior Secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination from a recognised Board/University. Those who have done 10+1 on or before 1986 will also be eligible to apply.
(ii) Obtained a Certificate in General Nursing and midwifery and be an 'A' Grade nurse, registered with State Nurses Registration Council. In case of male nurse, he should have obtained a certificate in General Nursing and, instead of training in Midwifery, training in any two subjects out of the following: (a)Venereal Disease Nursing, (b) Tuberculosis Nursing, (c)Ophthalmic Nursing, (d)Psychiatry Nursing, (e)Operation Theatre Techniques for a period of three months in each. He should be an 'A' Grade nurse registered with the State Nurses Registration Council.
(iii) Worked for a minimum period of three years as a staff nurse in recognised hospital or as a Public Health Nurse, after obtaining the above mentioned certificates.
METHOD OF SELECTION:-
Competitive Entrance Examination
The candidates will be required to appear at the competitive entrance examination
The Examination will be held at Delhi only.
The competitive entrance examination will be of 90 minutes duration and will have one paper containing objective type (multiple choice) questions in the subjects of Fundamentals of Nursing, Medical Surgical Nursing including Anatomy, Physiology & Pharmacology, Obstetric Nursing and Midwifery, Pediatric Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Psychiatric Nursing and Professional Trends in Nursing.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission:-
The candidates must be between 17 years and 28 years of age on the 31st December of the year of admission.
Permanent residents of West Bengal will be preferred. In case a seat remaining vacant, the seat will be offered to the candidates of other states of India.
The minimum educational requirements shall be a pass in:- 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Vernacular (PCBEV).
Or
Senior School Certificate Examination (10 + 2) or Pre-Degree Examination (10 + 2) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English and Vernacular (PCBEV).
Or

Army College of Nursing Jalandhar Admission
Educational Qualification:
The details are as under: -
a) The higher secondary examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of study comprising of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or any other elective subjects with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council for Educational Research and Training after the introduction of 10+2+3 years educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on education;
OR
b) The Intermediate examination in science of an Indian University/Board or other recognized body with Physics, Chemistry and Biology which shall include a practical test in these subjects and also English as a compulsory subject.
OR
c) The pre-professional/pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination, or the pre university or an equivalent examination. The pre-professional/premedical examination shall include a practical test in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and also English as a compulsory subject.
OR
d) The first year of the three years degree course of a recognized university with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in three subjects provided the examination is a “university examination” and candidate has passed 10+2 with English at a level not less than a core course.
OR
e) B.Sc examination of an Indian University, provided that she has passed the B.Sc Examination with not less than two of the following subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology) and further that she has passed the earlier qualifying examination with the following subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
OR
f) Any other examination which, in scope and standard is found to be equivalent to the Intermediate science examination of an Indian University/Board, taking Physics, Chemistry and Biology including practical test in each of these subjects and English.
Minimum Aggregate. She must have cleared 12th Class examination in one sitting as a regular candidate from a recognized institution. Candidate must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (PCBE) from a recognized Board / University. Candidates who have appeared in the 12th Class or equivalent examination are also provisionally eligible to apply and appear in the Entrance Examination. However, their candidature will be considered only if they provide documentary evidence of having passed the qualifying examination with the required subjects and percentage of marks at the time of counseling of admission.
Age. The date of birth recorded in the Secondary Education Board only will be taken as authentic. Catagory wise details are as below: -
