Bharathair University was established in 1982 in Coimbatore on the birth centenary of  great tamil poet Subramania Bharati after whom it is named. The school for distance education was established in 1992. Unlike like other centers for distance education the university has always limited it operations to facilitate qualitative education. The universities’ study centers and interactive study material have been two distinguishing factors and as such the university truly lived up to the expectation of “educating to elevate.”

Bharathair University Distance Education M.Ed

Bharathiar University has notified Distance education M.Ed admission.

Duration:-

Minimum period to complete the M.Ed. programme : 2 years
Maximum period to complete the programme : 4 years

Eligibility:-

B.Ed with minimum fifty percent marks (50%)
Two years teaching/professional experience after completion of B.Ed. programme in a government /government recognized school/ NCTE recognized teacher education/ Research Institution in Education.

Selection Procedure:-

Based on the performance in the entrance exam and Tamilnadu State Government Communal Reservation Norms.

MCA

Duration:- 3 years

Eligibility:- A pass in any degree with Mathematics at +2 level or any degree with atleast one paper in Mathematics or Statistics at degree level.

B.Ed

Eligibility:-

Two years full time teaching experience on temporary / permanent basis as primary / graduate teachers in a Primary / Secondary / Matriculation / Higher Secondary School recognized by the state/ central government. The required teaching experience of two years must have been completed on or before the last date of submitting the application. Truncated two years full time teaching experience in the same in more than one school with or without break can also be considered.

The teacher should be inservice at the time of submitting the application.

The teachers should have secured the minimum eligible marks in the Bachelor's degree as given below.

OC - 50% marks
BC - 45% marks
MBC - 43% marks
SC - 40% marks

The teacher should have undergone 10 + 2 + 3 (15) or 11 + 1 + 3 (15) pattern of study and passed the school level examinations conducted by the respective state board or CBSE or any other recognized board of education/ examination and undergraduate degree examination conducted by UGC recognized universities in any on the school subjects offered by the Directorate of School Education at the Secondary / Higher Secondary level and included as an optional subject in the B.Ed (distance) programme.
