The overwhelming response from students has also prompted the board to switch over operations from the existing operating system. Applicants can apply for any IGNOU admission to any course in any study center both India and abroad.

IGNOU M.Phil. & Ph.D Admission January 2017 Session:-

Apply online at website:- https://onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in/entrancersunit from September 22, 2016 to October 31, 2016.

IGNOU M.Phil & Ph.D Entrance Test 2016 Date:- 4th December 2016, Sunday

Before proceeding for filling the form online, the applicant must have the following:

Scanned Photograph (less than 100 KB)

Scanned Signature (less than 50 KB)

Application fee of Rs. 1,000/- is non-refundable under any circumstances.

Application Fee can be paid through:

Credit Card (Master/Visa)

Debit Card (Master/Visa/Rupay)

Net Banking

ATM Card(PNB)

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR M.PHIL./PH.D:-

For M.Phil.:- Master’s Degree of any recognized University/other qualifications recognized as equivalent thereto in such fields of study as are notified for the purpose from time to time by the University. The minimum eligibility criteria is 55% marks at Post Graduation level [50% in case of reserved categories {SC, ST, OBC (NonCreamy) and PWD}]

For Ph.D.:- Master’s Degree and/or M.Phil. in the relevant discipline.

However, candidates holding M.Phil. degree (along with course work and dissertation both) or those candidates who have cleared NET (conducted by UGC/CSIR/ICAR) or any other equivalent examination will be exempted from appearing in the Entrance Test. 

Those who have not cleared NET/any other equivalent examination or not holding M.Phil. Degree will be required to appear for the entrance test.
