IIT Madras MBA Admission:-
Eligibility:- Graduates in any discipline with first class or 60% marks earned in their degree from a recognized/reputed University for all categories of admission: regular candidates, sponsored candidates, NRI candidates and foreign nationals are eligible to apply.
Final year students (of the above-mentioned program) are also eligible to apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be admitted provisionally, on the condition that they meet all requirements for the qualifying degree before the start of the program and produce provisional certificate of completion within two months of joining the program (by September 30).
Regular Candidates
Regular candidates should possess a valid CAT score to be eligible for the admission process.Their selection will be based on their CAT score and their performance in group task and personal interview.
IIT Graduates who obtain a CGPA of 8 and above on 10 are exempted from CAT score. The final admission to the IIT degree holders would be based on their performance in the Group Task and Personal Interview, as in the case of other degree holders.
Sponsored Candidates
This category is of two types: a) Company Sponsored Candidates b) Indian Defence personnel
a) Candidates may be sponsored by their employers to pursue an MBA at IIT Madras. Candidates should forward their application through proper channel. They must have a minimum work experience of two years in the sponsoring organization and a valid, good score in national level entrance tests such as CAT/XAT/MAT.
b) Defence personnel are exempted from the national level entrance test. Candidates who are working with the Defense forces are encouraged to apply through respective government agencies.
Sponsored candidates will have to appear for the group task and personal interview along with other regular candidates. The final selection of sponsored candidates will be based on their performance in group task and personal interview.
