Madhya Pradesh (M.P.) State Level Eligibility Test (SLET) accredited by University Grants Commission (UGC) is test for recruitment of lecturing staff for universities and Colleges in the state. Similar to UGC’s NET Exam this exam is a important for candidates who wish to apply for the post of lecturer job profiles in the state.  Madhya Pradesh Vyapam or MP Vyapam which conducts exams  for various government services is the examination authority.

Understanding the same the main SET subjects for which you have to prepare for include

SET Subjects:- English, Hindi, History, Economics, Political Sciences, Sociology, Commerce, Physical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences and Mathematics.

MPSET Eligibility:-

(i) In case of OBC and General Category candidates the eligibility is a bachelors degree or a post graduate degree from a recognized university with at least 55 percent or more marks. (This is without grace or rounding off 54.55 percent). For SC/ST candidates the minimum marks is 50 percent (without rounding off 49.5percent) in postgraduate exam from a recognized  university.  

(ii) The benefit of 5% relaxation in mark at Master's Level examination extends to all categories of Physically handicapped candidates including blindness and low vision disabled.

(iii) SLET qualified candidates should complete his/her Master's degree with the required percentage of marks within one year from the date of the SLET Examination in which the candidates has appeared, failing which certificate will not be issued to the candidate.

(iv) Those candidates who get selected in MP SLET but fail to obtain the required minimum qualifying marks in their post graduate degree will not be considered eligible.
