Pondicherry university is a central university which offers different graduate and post graduate academic programs that are approved by central institutions like the DEC, AICTE and UGC. The university is known for its innovations like the credit based choice system, online admissions for post graduate courses and the twining programme for distance education courses.

The university  offers courses in different streams of arts, commerce, science and management. Students opting for Pondicherry university distance education courses study the same syllabus and subjects as that of a regular students and are awarded the same academic degrees. The most important fearure of theses courses are that they are job oriented professional programs. 

Pondicherry University invites applications from interested and eligible candidates for admission to following distance education MBA  and PG diploma programmes of study.

MBA (Marketing)
MBA (Retail Management)
MBA (Finance)
MBA (Tourism)
MBA (International Business)
MBA (Operations and Supply Chain Management)
MBA (HRM)
MBA (Insurance Management)
MBA (General)
MBA (Hospital Management)

Duration:- The duration of this course is two years which is divided into four semesters.

Eligibility:- Bachelors degree from a recognized university under 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 or 11+2+2 streams

For MBA Hospital Management:- Graduate with MBBS degree,Pharmacy,Dental,Nursing, Physiotherapy, Bio-Engineering,

Bio-Sciences and a graduate from any of the Indian Systems of Medicine like Homeopathy, Siddha, Ayurvedha and Unani.
or
Any other graduate with 2 years of work experience in any hospital.

P.G.DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES:

Duration:- One Year - Two Semesters

P.G.Diploma in Human Resource Management
P.G.Diploma in Marketing Management
P.G.Diploma in Financial Management
P.G.Diploma in Business Administration

Eligibility:- Bachelors degree from a recognized university under 10+2+3 or 11+1+3 or 11+2+2 streams
