Minimum 20 years and maximum 28 years as on 31.08.2019.
Maximum age indicated is for unreserved candidates. Relaxation in upper age limit is applicable as per Government of India guidelines for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION as on 31.08.2019 - Graduation from a recognised University/ Institute
DURATION OF TRAINING - One year only.
STIPEND/ BENEFIT -
The apprentices are eligible for stipend of 70% of semi-skilled labour wages as applicable in the respective states as per Apprentices Act or Rs.8000 per month whichever is higher. The trainee is not eligible for any other allowances/benefits.
SELECTION PROCESS - Selection for engagement of apprentices would be based on the basis of online written test and test of local language.
Online written test -
The structure of online written examination (online objective type) would be as follows.

2. General English - 25 Qs - 25 Marks - 15 minutes
3. Quantitative Aptitude - 25 Qs - 25 Marks - 15 minutes
4. Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude - 25 Qs - 25 Marks - 15 minutes
Total - 100 Qs - 100 Marks - 1 hour
Each test will have a separate timing as mentioned above.
The questions will be bilingual, i.e., English & Hindi, except for the test of General English. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks on aggregate (For SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates, 5% relaxation available thereon). Minimum qualifying marks on aggregate will be as decided by the Bank. There are no minimum qualifying marks for individual subjects. Merit list will be drawn statewise and categorywise. Candidates qualified in the test will be placed according to their aggregate marks in descending order in respective States and Categories.

•Probationary Officer – Probationary Officers in SBI are trained in various departments of the bank for a fixed probationary term. During these term candidates are evaluated. Based on evaluations and performance they are placed in a department of the bank.

Selection Criteria - Selection Criteria for SBI is conducted in two phases. Phase one is an objective test that probes the candidate on the following sections of English Language, General Awareness, data analysis and interpretation and reasoning. This is 200 mark objective tests. Phase 2 of the test consists of group discussion, interview and experience. Candidate who pass both phases of the test are considered for selection. Marks of both phases are totaled and arranged in descending order.
