SNAP Syllabus 2018:-
The SNAP Syllabus 2018 is divided into four sections. The SNAP exam is pencil paper test multiple choice paper. While there is no prescribed syllabus for the exam the following sections forms the crux of the paper. Following is the subtopics that form the part of the sections of syllabus
a)General English Section: This section is a combination of the reading, comprehension and the use of english vocabulary. The vocabulary section would contain questions pertaining to synoyms and anatoynms, spellings, appropriate substitues, sentence formations and fill in the blanks. The grammar topics would include active and passive voice, parts of speech and tenses.
b)Quantative, Data interpretation and data sufficiency: This section would feature subjects of Algebra, Geometery, arithmetic, trignometry and mensuration with questions of distance, time, work speed, profit and loss partnership and geometery, mensuration, number systems, ratio and proportion, set theory and statistics. Data intepretation would include caluclation and understand and interprete pie charts, graphs and bar diagrams.
c) General Awareness, Current Affairs and Business scenario: This section would include questions pertaining to politics, business (merger and accusiations and present news),sports, geography, auto industry, history, economics and Indian institutions. Regular reading of newspaper and keeping abreast with current news would greatly help. Apart from Brushing on history and civics and political science.
d)Analytical and logical reasoning: This is a toughest part of the SNAP exam. It also the section with the most marks on offer as it involves application and keen sense of understanding concepts. The subjects in the section include blood relations,coding-decoding, letter series, venn diagrams, cubes, fact intepretation and verbal analogy.
SNAP exam total marks: 180 marks
- General English Section-40 marks.
- Quantative, Data interpretation and data sufficiency-40 marks.
- General Awareness, Current Affairs and Business scenario-40 marks.
- Analytical and logical reasoning-60 marks.
Marking Scheme: For a wrong answer, 25 percent marks is deducted.
