The Fakir Mohan University was established in the year 1999 in Vyasa Vihar in Balasore district of Orissa.It is recognised by the UGC of India.
Fakir Mohan University has well organized Computer Lab., Biotechnology Lab. , Environmental Science Lab.and Applied Physics & Ballistics Lab. Besides its Lab in the Dept.,there are centralised computer centre. The F.M.University has well stocked library with over 15, 431 books, one Men's Hostel and one Women's Hostel for the students at University Nuapadi New Campus.
