Indira Gandhi Agricultural University was established in 1987 at Raipur, Chhattisgarh. University has  faculties of Agriculture, Agriculture Engineering, Dairy Technology, Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry.

The University has Nehru Library with large collection of books, journals and periodicals on agricultural and allied sciences, Well euipped labs, Hostel accommodation is provided to the outstation students. Medical facility and Sports zone are other facilities offered by the university.

The Board conducts a Pre Agriculture Test (PAT) for B.Sc.(Agri) and B.SC.(Hort) courses, Pre Engineering Test (PET) for B.Tech. of Daity Technology and Agriculture Engineering, Pre Medical Test (PMT) for B.V.Sc.& A.H. course of Veterinary and Animal Husbandary.
