The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences was set up in 1999 under statre university act 1999. It was recognized under UGC Act, 1956 & affiliated by the Bar Council of India.It offers B.A / B.Sc with LL.B., M.Phil (Law), LL.D, Ph.D. (Law), LLM courses.

NUJS campus is located in the Salt Lake city of Kolkata overlooking the Eastern Metropolitan Bypass, The academic block of the campus has the NUJS library; two fully air conditioned conference rooms; two huge lecture theatres. NUJS provides separate halls of residence for boys and girls.
