Ans :
Dear Padam,
Some of the reputed institutes offering this courses are IITs, IT BHU, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Pune, Delhi University etc. all of these institutes require entrance test along with post graduation degree for PhD. However you may explore IIT Guwahati (http://www.iitg.ernet.in/maths/acads/phd.php) offering PhD in Maths. Minimum Qualification is M.Sc. and Selection Criteria is Interview conducted twice a year (Dec & June). You may also explore Indira Gandhi National Open University, (New Delhi) for PhD in Mathematics. Depending upon your specialization and based on availability and other eligibility criteria you can get enrolled in this program. In general minimum qualification for PhD is post graduation degree.

Ans :
Hey, a very obvious question from 12th class student. You need a proper counselling. First you should understand your interests and area in which you want to go ahead. There are lot of options available to a commerce background student. You can pursue B.Com(honors), BBA, CA, CS etc. You can pursue your studies in India or abroad. Everything depends on you only. So, I would suggest you to first assess your interests. There is a survey for school students called 'HESA's Global Student Survey' that assess the educational plans of students like you. Take it and you can win ipad2, ipad touch or gift vouchers for pizza hut. Follow the link: app.fluidsurveys.com /s/ globalstudentsurvey/
