IAS stands for Indian Administrative Services. It is one of the premier services under the government of India. The admissions to IAS are made on the basis of writing and qualifying the UPSC exams.
To be eligible to write the IAS/ UPSC exams, the minimum education qualification remains a graduate degree from a recognized University and the maximum age limit of the applicant should not exceed 30years.
The exam is carried out in three phases:
1. Preliminary written test
2. Main written test
General knowledge and studies is one of the major section in the exam and one should be updated with the same. Also there are number of subjects being offered, of which the applicant need to make a choice based on one's interest and need to qualify the entrance in the particular subject.
